Before placing a bet, please understand that there is risk involved. There are no guarantees that your selection is going to win, even if the form or probability is in your favour. We trust that players are able to use their own judgement to place bets but having knowledge of the event, market, game or product you are betting on always provides peace of mind.
SPORTS
When placing a sportsbook bet, you are betting on a certain outcome to happen or not to happen, from predicting the winner of a football match to predicting that there will be under or over a certain number of points in a basketball game. Our
Betting Rules will provide details on how all sports markets are settled.
Odds
These are simply the chances of a particular selection winning. The higher the odds, the less likely the outcome is to happen. Fractional odds are displayed with the numerator (first number) indicating the return and the denominator (second number) representing the stake. Decimal odds converted from fractional is the sum of the fraction divided + 1 & will represent the total return including the stake. Here’s some examples of how they work:
- Odds of 4/1 (5.0) means that every undefined1 wagered will return undefined4 profit (total return of undefined5 including stake)
- Odds of 7/2 (4.5) means that every undefined2 wagered will return undefined7 profit (total return of undefined9 including undefined2 stake or undefined4.50 from a undefined1 stake)
- Odds of 1/5 (1.2) means that every undefined5 wagered will return undefined1 profit (total return of undefined6 including undefined5 stake or undefined1.20 from a undefined1 stake)
Individual selection odds are multiplied together to make an accumulator with a select number of folds e.g. Two selections with selection odds of 2/1 (3.0) & 3/1 (4.0) would make accumulative odds of 11/1 (12.0). Our betslip will always display the selection and accumulative odds for each fold with the potential returns.
Each Way Betting
This is where you can bet on your win selection to place at a fraction of the win odds with one part of your stake on the win selection and the other on the place selection. It’s typically offered on outright or racing events where a set number of places are offered. Here’s an example of how it works:
- A market offers to pay 3 places with place odds of 1/4 (1/4 1-2-3). A undefined10 outright win wager on a selection at 9/1 (10.0) would pay undefined100 (undefined90 profit and undefined10 stake) but if the player decides to back the selection Each Way, a further undefined10 will be staked on the place selection at 1/4 of the odds
- The return on the place selection would be undefined32.50 from undefined10 (undefined22.50 profit and undefined10 stake)
- If the selection wins, the total return would be undefined132.50 from a undefined20 total stake
- If the selection places 2nd or 3rd, the total returns would be undefined32.50 from a undefined20 total stake
Our betslip will always display the total potential returns of Each Way selections including a breakdown of the win & place returns.
